Hi and welcome the the web home of our narrowboat ‘free spirit’
We purchased the narrowboat in June 2016 off ‘Dave’. I think this is probably the largest amount of money I have ever given to someone I don’t know – we read up on the process and checked all the history but even so with no ‘title’ or ‘registration’ document it all seemed scary.
The boat is an 68ft Aqualine Madison, this is a reverse layout boat and consists of the following layout (stern to bow), Kitchen, Saloon, Dinette, Bathroom and Bedroom.
Since then we have done work on her to make it into a weekend getaway for myself and wendy.
I have done plenty of learning along the way and two years on am starting this website. It’s for my own use really to try and remember all the ‘fun’ as the years go by, but who knows some of the articles may even help someone else.
